Cytology

Gynecologic and Obstetric pathology is the subspecialty of pathology dealing with diseases of the female reproductive system. This area also includes diseases of the placenta.


HNL Lab Medicine​ gynecologic pathologists work closely with gynecologic oncologists and surgeons, radiation therapists, and radiologists to diagnose and render state-of-the-art care to women with gynecologic neoplasms.
 

The HNL Center for Anatomic Pathology's Gynecologic Pathology Division is staffed by board-certified pathologists expert in the diagnosis of disease of the female genital tract including the cervix, vagina, vulva, endometrium, uterus, fallopian tube and ovaries. A full range of gynecologic cytology services is also available.

We offer a full range of testing for all women’s health needs including:

  • Liquid based cytology
  • FISH technology
