HNL Lab Medicine’s Molecular Diagnostics department utilizes sophisticated molecular techniques, including multiplex bioassays and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), to aid in patient care.
 
Infectious-disease testing, including HIV and HCV viral load testing, assists in pharmacological patient monitoring. Genetic testing includes prenatal cystic fibrosis (CF) carrier screens as well as testing for other inherited and acquired genetic mutations.
