This communication is an alert that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have provided updated guidance on what must versus what should be collected and reported with COVID-19 testing. This updated guidance includes the new Ask at Order Entry (AOE) questions.
We rely on you to provide the following information that MUST be collected and reported to state or local health departments:
- Patient age
- Patient race
- Patient ethnicity
- Patient sex
- Patient residence zip code
- Patient residence county
- Ordering provider name and NPI (as applicable)
- Ordering provider zip
- Review the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) new guidelines.
