The Health Centers at Palmer Township and Fogelsville will be open on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020) from 8 am to 12 pm.
All other Patient Center locations will be CLOSED in observance of Thanksgiving Day.

Health Network Laboratories (HNL Lab Medicine) Appoints Dr. Ikhlas Darkhalil as Laboratory Chief Operating Officer and Integrations Officer 

HNL Lab Medicine, a leader in high quality, innovative laboratory medicine services, has promoted Ikhlas Darkhalil, Ph.D., M.B.A, NRCC, FAAC, to Chief Laboratory Operating Officer and Integration Officer.  Dr. Darkhalil most recently served as Clinical Laboratory Scientific Director.  

“Ikhlas brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to HNL Lab Medicine, and we are very excited about her new role with the company,” said Matthew Sorrentino, President and CEO of HNL Lab Medicine. “She has a proven track record of technical leadership and strategic planning that will support the achievement of HNL Lab Medicine’s vision of significant growth through partnership and innovation.” 

Since joining the organization, Dr. Darkhalil has advanced both the technical and operational areas of the laboratory. She played an integral role in helping HNL Lab Medicine and Lehigh Valley Health Network’s hospitals implement Sunquest and Epic clinical laboratory information systems.  

“I am honored to be appointed to this position and look forward to rapidly building the operations and technical expertise of our employees so that HNL Lab Medicine can attain its vision, said Dr. Darkhalil. “HNL Lab Medicine was built on a solid foundation over the past 20 years and we will continue to provide high quality, innovative and affordable laboratory services to the patients and providers we serve.  

Prior to joining HNL, she served as technical and operations director at Quest Diagnostics and prior to that she held various management positions at Eurofins Scientific. Dr. Darkhalil received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri and holds an M.B.A in health care management.  Her certifications include Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), CLS, NRCC (CC) and NRCC (CT). She is board certified as a CLIA laboratory director for high complexity testing, ASQ quality auditor (CQA), AACC point of care professional specialist (CPP), and she is a fellow of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry.
