Julia Barto

Vice President for Human Resources
Julia joined HNL Lab Medicine in 2005, she has held various positions of increasing responsibility. In 2007 she was promoted to Human Resources Director and then in 2017 she was promoted to Administrator in 2017. In her leadership roles at HNL Lab Medicine, Julia has overseen the design and development of a growing human resources department, including employee training and development programs, workplace structures, staffing strategies and implementation plans. In 2005, when Julia first joined HNL Lab Medicine, the company was comprised of about 600 employees. Today, Julia and her human resources team serve more than 1,100 employees.

Before moving into the health care field, Julia spent 10 years working in Human Resources in the retail and manufacturing industries. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology & Education from Cedar Crest College. She has completed executive training programs from the Wharton School of Business, the Center for Business and Industry, and Lehigh Valley Health Network Leadership Academy.
