In 1994, Congress designated the month of June as Men's Health Month to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. As you look at the infographic below, you can see that men face unique challenges that can lead to preventable diseases if they are not addressed. Many screening programs, including lab tests, can provide insight into the current state of health and allow early detection. Help promote Men's Health Month by getting labs done regularly and encouraging and educating other males in your life on the importance of preventative health care.
