HNL @Home is a service provided by HNL Lab Medicine that brings phlebotomy right to your doorstep. Patients can enjoy the comfort and convenience of getting lab tests directly in their own homes.

Simply schedule your appointment, and a certified phlebotomist will arrive in one of our new HNL-branded vehicles to perform your lab work.  
 

Who can benefit from HNL @Home? 

Through HNL @Home, high-risk patients with concerns about circulating flus or COVID-19 can avoid potential virus exposures. Though HNL Lab Medicine Patient Service Centers have a strict policy requesting that symptomatic patients visit a health center, rather than a PSC, other health facilities do not have the same guidelines.

All of our phlebotomists are up to date on both COVID-19 and flu vaccines. Whether you need to avoid exposure during high-risk times of the year, or simply want a convenient way to cross lab work off of your to do list, our HNL @Home–Concierge service checks the box. 

For medically homebound patients, HNL @Home–Homebound allows their provider to easily schedule an at home visit and take advantage of the fast, friendly service that HNL Lab Medicine is known for.

If you have a medically homebound family member, talk to their provider about our HNL @Home–Homebound option.

When is the HNL @Home service available? 

Don’t let time constraints prevent you from obtaining your necessary lab work! The HNL @Home–Concierge service is available every day of the week.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to noon on weekends. HNL @Home operates in many Pennsylvania counties, including Lehigh, Berks, Northampton, and Schuylkill, among others.  

Our New HNL @Home Fleet 

HNL Lab Medicine purchased a fleet of new mobile phlebotomy vehicles that are equipped with all of the supplies needed to collect various types of samples, including blood, saliva, and urine samples.  

“We do about 200-250 mobile requests each day,” said Fanning. “The new vehicles have better equipment, improved reliability, and have excellent mileage. HNL Lab Medicine is really investing in patient wellness and technology. We are proud to offer this upgraded service to all patients who need it, no matter the reason.” 

 

How to participate in HNL @Home  

Appointments can be requested easily online through our website. After an HNL Lab Medicine phlebotomy team member confirms the appointment, patients can then prepare for the phlebotomist to arrive at the scheduled time. All patients are eligible to use the service.  

The HNL @Home–Concierge service is eligible for all patients with a nominal $25 service fee.  

Providers have the option to schedule their medically homebound patients through HNL @Home–Homebound and they are exempt from the service fee.  

For all HNL Lab Medicine lab work, results are processed promptly and accurately and can be viewed in MyHNLAccess. There is no delay when using HNL @Home. Test results are processed just as quickly as they would be at a Patient Service Center!
