HNL Lab Medicine, a regional leader in high quality, innovative laboratory medicine services, announces the opening of a patient center at 550 West Broad Street, Hazleton, Luzerne County. Patients can access this facility Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon.

“HNL is proud to offer patients a larger facility and comfortable experience at our new location in the Hazleton Shopping Center, less than one mile from the downtown area,” said Dean Hoppes, chief financial and administrative officer for HNL Lab Medicine. “This patient center replaces an access point previously offered by NLM Laboratories, a long-standing leader in laboratory services in the Hazleton area.”

At HNL Lab Medicine’s new Hazleton location — and at all patient centers operated by the lab — no appointments are needed and wait times are typically less than 15 minutes. Patients may check current wait times and check-in online through the recently redesigned website (www.hnl.com/hazleton). HNL Lab Medicine prides itself on making every patient experience quick and comfortable and holds its phlebotomists and staff to the highest standards of professionalism and kindness.

HNL Lab Medicine’s commitment to fast service extends to receiving test results as quickly as possible. Most tests are completed within 24 hours after reaching HNL's state-of-the-art reference laboratory in the Lehigh Valley. When patients sign up for MyHNLAccess, a free patient portal, they can easily view their results on their computer, smartphone or other mobile devices and even receive a text message when results are available.

HNL Lab Medicine also offers self-pay options which may be an economical choice for patients without insurance or for those who participate in high-deductible health plans.

HNL accepts all insurance plans and will directly bill a patient’s primary insurance company. HNL Lab Medicine has a patient-friendly billing policy and offers payment plans and online billing support services.
