Patient Service Center Refresh Concludes
If you’ve visited a Patient Service Center location recently, you may have noticed our new look! HNL Lab Medicine has recently invested in redesigning several of our Patient Service Centers. In addition to enhanced security and privacy measures, we’ve completely reimagined the way a waiting room should look and feel for our patients!
One of the perks of our new waiting room experience is the modern, contemporary look of our PSCs. Looking for all of the news with none of the clutter? Our brand-new smart TVs will allow patients to stay up to date with HNL Lab Medicine’s exciting news and opportunities. We’ve also upgraded our signage to ensure a smoother, more convenient check-in process.
In our draw rooms, you’ll notice gorgeous new artwork created by the winners of our children’s Healthcare Hero art contest.
All thanks to teamwork
The refresh was made possible through the collaboration of multiple departments over the span of several months. HNL Lab Medicine partnered with Boyle Construction to redesign and renovate the PSCs with minimal impact to patients. “The project was a true partnership between Boyle Construction and HNL Lab Medicine to apply a new marketing standard in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas,” commented Tanner Haycock, Project Manager. “Every decision made throughout the project prioritized patient experience, ensuring they had a familiar location nearby to conduct all their services."
“The success of the PSC refresh project was due to the outstanding collaboration of Facilities, Phlebotomy, Marketing, IT, Logistics, Finance, and Boyle Construction,” said Brennen Boyer, Facilities Manager. “The project was a major undertaking for HNL, and the team relentlessly tackled each challenge with creative solutions. The result is a unified look and feel throughout our PSCs.”
“The redesign gives our patients an elevated lab work experience,” said Chandra Kern, Marketing Graphics Coordinator. “Our hard work over this past year has really paid off. I am especially excited about our children’s Healthcare Hero art in the draw rooms. The artwork gives our younger patients some focus and entertainment while getting their lab work done. We are looking forward to relaunching this contest in the coming months.”
The newly renovated waiting rooms are bright and comfortable, and create a pleasant atmosphere that puts patients at ease. Badge-access security doors and privacy walls bring peace of mind and additional privacy to both patients and phlebotomists. “HNL Lab Medicine sincerely believes that collaboration is the foundation of our success,” said Brian Fanning, VP Patient Experience. “The PSC redesign was a group effort that will make all the difference for our patients.”
