Dr. Elsie Lee received her medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. and completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, followed by an hematopathology fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She completed her transfusion medicine/blood banking fellowships at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and the University Hospital at Stony Brook in NY. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Hematology and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
Dr. Lee is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB), Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, American Society for Clinical Pathology, and a past member of the Residency Program Directors Section of the Association of Pathology Chairs. She is an Assistant Professor with appointment in the Department of Medical Education and Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Her areas of expertise and research include Transfusion Medicine and Hematopathology.
