Journey into the World of Healing
Bandages play an important role in helping us heal, protecting our bodies from injury and promoting recovery. In this contest, students will create their own unique bandage designs, drawing inspiration from the world of health and healing.
By designing a bandage, children will gain a deeper appreciation for how healthcare tools help us recover and stay strong. Just like a bandage protects and heals, the choices we make for our health—whether through exercise, nutrition, or rest—play a crucial role in keeping our bodies healthy.

Guidelines to Enter
Contestants will create their own unique bandage designs, drawing inspiration from the world of health and healing.
- Download and print the artwork contest template. Submissions open May 1 – 31, 2025.
- Using colored pencils or crayons, illustrate and color your vision of a bandage that embodies healing, strength, or wellness. Design a bandage that not only helps others feel better but also fosters positivity. Convey a story or message through your creation. Whether it’s about triumphing over obstacles or honoring resilience, we want to see a bandage that resonates with us.
- Be sure to include the artist's first and last name, grade, and a contact email address for patient/teacher/guardian
- Once finished, you can scan and submit the masterpiece using the form at the bottom of this page or mail your entry to:

We'll be selecting winners in three different categories:
Most Creative: Let your imagination shine! Whether it’s fun patterns, quirky characters, or bold colors, we’re looking for the most original and exciting bandage designs.
Most Healing: Show how your design represents healing, strength, or wellness. Create a bandage that helps others feel better and promotes positivity.
Most Expressive: Tell a story or share a message through your design. Whether it’s about overcoming challenges or celebrating strength, we want to see a bandage that speaks to us.
Each age group (K-2, 3-5, 6-8) will have a winner selected in each category.
Students in grade Grades K-8
Each age group below will have one winner for the most creative, most healing, most expressive categories (3 winners for each age group).

The submission deadline is May 31, 2025.
- Submissions May 1 – 31, 2025! Prepare your entry now by downloading the template.
- Winners will be announced June 18, 2025 on HNL Lab Medicine's Social Media. (LinkedIn and Facebook)
- Once the announcement is made, winners will be contacted and their prizes will be sent out.

Winners will receive:
Apart from showcasing their artwork in our patient service centers across the region, each winner will have the opportunity to choose a one-year membership to either the Da Vinci Science Center or the Crayola Experience.
