Clinical Laboratory Internships


Clinical interns can expect to gain the following experience:

    • Support lab technicians and scientists
    • Learn standard procedures for specimen analysis
    • Utilize lab equipment and software
    • Prepare specimens for testing
    • Complete independent projects
    • Work under supervision
    • Perform necessary procedures and paperwork
    • Assist with data entry and equipment maintenance
    • Demonstrate professional behavior

Qualifications Required for Student Clinical Internship

    • Desired Major(s): Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Forensic Science
    • Desired Class Level(s): Sophomore, Junior, Senior
    • Duration: Spring, Summer, Fall semesters: Monday through Friday, 20 – 40 hours / week, flexible scheduling dependent upon position

Non-clinical Laboratory Internship

Non-clinical internships may be available in a variety of areas, including but not limited to Finance, Information Services, Marketing, and Materials Management.
