Health Network Laboratories Appoints Dr. Ronald Walsh as New Clinical Laboratory Director

“We are extremely fortunate to welcome back Dr. Walsh at HNL,” said Matt Sorrentino, acting President and CEO of HNL. “He brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to our organization and will be invaluable to our success as we expand our technologies and capabilities in medical diagnostic testing.”
Dr. Walsh returns to HNL after previously serving as Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine at HNL. With an extensive background in the medical diagnostic field, Dr. Walsh is excited to take on his new role and lead the clinical laboratory team at HNL.
“The constant evolution of diagnostic testing is inevitable, and I am proud to be part of an organization that has grown its spectrum of clinical testing services and expertise across multiple disciplines for over 20 years,” said Ronald Walsh, MD. “My intentions, quite simply, are to continue to advance our technologies and provide the most relevant, actionable and accurate diagnostic testing and results to the providers who care for patients every day.”
Prior to HNL, Dr. Walsh served as the Associate Director of Transfusion Services, Director of Clinical Pathology Residency Training, and Quality Assurance Designee at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He also held an Assistant Professorship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY.
Dr. Walsh completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Winthrop University Hospital and his Transfusion Medicine Fellowship at New York Blood Center.
