HNL Lab Medicine’s Annual Art Contest!

Calling All Young Artists: Enter HNL Lab Medicine’s Annual Art Contest!

Does your child love to draw, doodle, or dream up colorful creations? HNL Lab Medicine is thrilled to invite local students in grades K-8 to showcase their creativity in our Annual Art Contest, open now through May 31, 2026.

This year's theme is all about curiosity, discovery, and imagination, and we're asking young artists to design a test tube rack filled with the experiment they would invent. What's growing or bubbling in your vials? Maybe your test tubes hold a cure for the common cold, a potion that makes vegetables taste like candy, or a formula that turns sadness into laughter. The only rule? Let your imagination lead.

When most people think of a test tube, they picture blood draws and laboratory results. But at HNL Lab Medicine, we know those little glass vials hold something even bigger: the spark of discovery. From penicillin to plastics, some of humanity's most world-changing breakthroughs began in a humble glass tube. This year, we're handing that spark to the next generation of scientists, dreamers, and artists.

"Science begins with curiosity, and children are some of the most naturally curious people in the world. We can't wait to see what experiments they dream up. Sometimes the most brilliant ideas start with a colorful sketch," said Jessica Bargilione, Chief Marketing Officer at HNL Lab Medicine.
