HNL Lab Medicine Announces 5th Annual Childrens Art Contest
HNL Lab Medicine Invites K-8 Students to Dream Up Their Greatest Scientific Discovery in Annual Art Contest
Local students are challenged to imagine and illustrate the experiment they would invent, bringing their ideas to life one test tube at a time in this year’s creative competition.
HNL Lab Medicine today announced the launch of its Annual Art Contest, open to local students in grades K-8 now through May 31, 2026. This year's theme invites young artists to design a test tube rack filled with the experiment they would invent putting imagination, curiosity, and creativity at the center of the competition.
Test tubes are more than tools of medicine, they are vessels of possibility. From penicillin to plastics, some of the world's most transformative scientific discoveries began in a humble glass tube. This year's contest asks students to tap into that legacy and ask themselves: What would I discover? Whether it's a cure for the common cold, a potion that makes vegetables taste like candy, or a formula that turns sadness into laughter, HNL Lab Medicine wants to see how young minds envision the future of science.
"Science begins with curiosity, and children are some of the most naturally curious people in the world," said Jessica Bargilione, Chief Marketing Officer at HNL Lab Medicine. "We can't wait to see what experiments they dream up. Sometimes the most brilliant ideas start with a colorful sketch."
