Collection Instructions
  • Collect entire specimen in needle rinse container.
  • Container needs to be labeled with patient's full name and second patient identifier (i.e., DOB, MR#).
Processing and Submission Instructions
  • Submit specimen with an EPIC order, Non-Gyn Cytology Requisition Form (HNL-32), or one of the laboratory's appropriate electronic forms.
  • NOTE: Cytologist assistance for rapid adequacy reading is available Monday through Friday 8am -4pm (excluding holidays) at LVH-Cedar Crest, LVH-Muhlenberg and LVH-Pocono; schedule thorough LVHN Central Scheduling and/or EPIC.
