Collection Container: Gold Top, Serum Separator

Alternate Collection Container: Lavender Top (EDTA), Green Top (Sodium or Lithium Heparin), or Light Blue Top (Sodium Citrate) 

Desired Specimen Volume: 2 mL
Collection Instructions
  1. Collect a gold top, serum separator via venipuncture.
Processing and Submission Instructions
  1.  Separate serum from cells ASAP or within two hours of collection.
  2. Transfer 2 mL of serum to a clear aliquot tube (screw cap).
  3. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Transport to the laboratory frozen.
